Here's a story about a friend...
My friend heard that people who buy Apple devices have money. They, unlike "Android people", tend to pay for applications if they want to use them. My friend is also "one of those people" and he owns an iPhone and is also paying for a few apps that he likes.
So he thought, that it could be a good opportunity to earn some money by building an app for iPhone's. Even though he didn't know how to build an iPhone app in 2025 he knew that he's a fast learner and that it couldn't be that hard... Also he had an app idea!
He learned the tech that was needed and he built an app in a couple of months! He even started having dollar signs in his eyes in anticipation of all the money he will be earning soon. As he was getting ready to publish the app to the Apple App store - his account was blocked! He wasn't doing anything illegal, just making sure the app works before releasing ti according to the documentation from Apple.
My friend tried to reset his password, but got back a friendly response from Apple:
Dear Name,
We’ve reviewed your request, and access to your account has been denied.
Apple
OK, wait, what?! Why denied? Why it was blocked in the first place? No explanation.
So my friend, wrote to support and then called Apple support. The support person was nice and all, he said, but there's not much the local support guy can do but to create an internal support request with his higher ups... 10 days later, and my friend doesn't have his access restored. He can't publish his app.
Apple can block your account for whatever reason, whenever they please and they don't give a shit about you and your dreams of getting some money from your apps. So fuck Apple, says my friend...
